movies and popcorn

Sleepily driving to work today
under the dark sky
filled with rain clouds,
I looked behind me
in time to see
the orange sun start to rise.

What a breathtaking view
of the brilliant sun
peeking through the gloom.
The feilds under the new day
emanated the mist of dreams
that glistened with dew.

The morning had a slight chill
in the air
although the day
heated to 90 degrees again.
The bright green leaves
are starting to fade.
No longer lush and full.

Soon we'll be wearing
coats again and putting on
our Nick Drake albums
and staying in for

movies and popcorn
instead of sleeping
with the windows open
and running around barefoot.

How sad to see
summer wilt away.
But, the fall
has it's own beauty
that I welcome
and watch with delight.

hey vanessa. i am deborah, friend of kens, who told me of your blog site. i like your style. i write also, but not with your pizaz. i liked the complexity of feeling sad and then smiling while i read.i have been a "flirty friend" of kens for half a year. he is different from others i have interacted with.the flirty friend is his moniker. he laughed telling us of a guy who dissed him without even knowing him. i see now. eric, if you knew ken, youd want to be a friend. we all make certain we go to his and robyns parties. such a happy home and hot ass fun. vanessa i can see you all into the group dancing, silly, touching and not bothered.well, i seem to write a lot more since i met ken. keep writing vanessa. deborah

eric...you are nuts...lmao....are you threatened by me in some way? i am not homophobic or homointerested, but if you want to chat with me...i do have plenty of male friends.....how about commenting TO me on MY site...as this is vanessas site...and a great one for sure.....fyi....a few of my friends, and flirty friends as well, want to write you and deend me...i say you are a silly man..no need to defend me...i know i am real....no pretense or need to pump myself up by casting disparaging remarks on strangers....i choose to enjoy why i came to this site....it is awsome...how about talking to v instead of me......though if you really want to...you have my addy....how about writing of yourself on your site....always interested in others thoughts....have a good day......by the way.....maybe its from living in the south, and we are not all hicks and rubes here, but seems alittle outdated to call women chicks......again, my thoughts and not necessarily the thoughts of the administrator of this site......"chill dude". i do have friends older than me who were authentic hippies..some still are while most are now business owners.....love the wonder of change....one thing that has not changed, which is how i came to this hot ass site is music..always good music of every style..something for everyone...i love your music choices vanessa....listening to a band i just saw recently...kings of leon....love em!!!! blah blah friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
