Dirt Road Journey's

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. ~Ursula K. Le Guin

LA LA LA.

Smashed my car in the rain
la la la
Don't want my phone ringing so much
la la la
Brake lights won't go out
la la la
Girlfriend moving in and bringing her shitzu
la la la
Thinking about moving out for the betterment of me
la la la
Pukity Pukity Puke
la la la
bought some new pants that fit like grandmas
la la la
Doesn't matter anyway because I couldn't get in the bedroom to find a shirt to match
la la la
Got upstairs and dad's in the bathroom
la la la
Do my hair in the hallway
la la la
Drive to work in a crap van
la la la
Get to work and try to put a smile on
la la la
Doesn't take long for everyone to realize
la la la
That I'm a disaster and always will be.

Wine Buzz

Last night was crappy. How crappy was it? Pretty crappy.

But...we drank some Shiraz and walked down the road that was once dirt (they paved it behind my back...ruining my dirt road) and we layed down on the pavement underneath the stars and listened to the frogs and the crickets and watched the fireflies buzz around. The temperature was as close to perfect as it gets and with my little wine buzz, I began to relax.

Buck up, that's all you can do.
